Naturopathic Nutritional therapy appointments are a great way for you to find out about your body and mind in a way that has probably never been explained to you before. We look at your body and mind as a whole system that interacts intricately with each other.
When you make your initial enquiry, we will arrange a free of charge introductory video call so that we can have a chat about your health and how you would like support. If you choose to continue and purchase a consultation, I will send you some important forms to fill in, which you will need to send back to me in advance. Some are consent forms, one will be a questionnaire about your health, another will be about your symptoms and the other will be a 7 day food and drink diary. There may be questions on there that may not seem relevant to you, but they are there for a reason so please don`t miss them out. Please do your best to fill in everything as fully as possible, even if it means asking family members about your childhood if necessary.
After I have received your forms, we can meet. When we do, I will go through your concerns and symptoms with you and we will create a detailed picture of your health.
When you come to your naturopathic consultation, please expect to be with me between around an hour and a half for your first appointment and for up to an hour for your follow up.
If we are meeting in person, rather than the virtual world, I may need to examine your nails, so please don`t wear nail varnish if possible. I may also need to look at your tongue, eyes, feet, arms and your neck.
After understanding your situation better, we will look at factors that may have led you to where you are now, and how we can change those in order to move your health journey in the right direction.
It may be necessary for some functional medicine testing to be arranged to give a deeper understanding of what is affecting you at a cellular level. Testing is not included in the consultation price but will be discussed with you if necessary. A plan will be made for you to move forward which will involve lifestyle and dietary factors, and usually, but not always, some supplements.
After the consultation, we will get a date in the diary for your follow up appointment, which will be between 3 and 8 weeks, depending on your situation. The follow up appointment will check your progress and be a chance to tweak your plan and go over any tests that you have had.
I will email you a plan and a summery of what we decided together, so you don`t need to make notes during the consultation. Just so you know, if supplements are advised, it would be at an additional cost.
